An Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG from Santi, presented in a wooden case and wrapped in tissue. It has an intense garnet red colour. The nose offers a complex bouquet of ripe red fruits such as cherries and plums, with notes of spice, chocolate, vanilla and a light touch of wood from maturation in cask. On the palate it is full and enveloping, with present but velvety tannins, balanced acidity and flavours of ripe fruit, chocolate and spice. The finish is long and persistent. It suits rich red meats, stews, game and aged cheeses, and can also be enjoyed as a meditation wine.
