Santo Fino Pure Mezquila is an agave spirit that brings together the traditions of mezcal and tequila. It was created by Sammy Hagar and Guy Fieri.
It starts with two kinds of agave: blue agave, the plant used for tequila, and espadín agave, traditionally used for mezcal. The hearts, known as piñas, are harvested at peak maturity and cooked to draw out their sweet juice, and the two agaves are then combined.
