Savanna L'Absolu 2023 is a rhum traditionnel extra vieux from La Réunion, bottled at 55.5% vol. in a 70cl bottle. It draws on the oldest stocks of the Savanna distillery, which has worked on the island since 1870, and is a limited bottling.
The rum is made from molasses, distilled in a column still and matured in Cognac and port casks. It is not chill-filtered, coloured or sweetened.
The character is rich, complex and fruity: candied fruit and berries meet nuts, port influence and Grand Arôme, with a woody vanilla note.
