Type
Red wine
A red wine from Savigny-les-Beaune, made from Pinot Noir grown on a small east-facing parcel of biodynamically cultivated vines planted in 1973. The grapes undergo cool maceration, fermentation in steel tanks with native yeasts, and ageing for 12 months in 228-litre oak barrels, 25% new. The wine is filtered lightly before bottling. It is deeply coloured and concentrated, with small forest berries and a touch of English liquorice. The palate shows structure, concentration and harmony, finishing with complexity and charm.

Tasting Notes

Nose

Concentrated colour and aroma; small forest berries (blueberry, blackberry) and a little English liquorice

Palate

Unusually good structure and concentration, with harmony between fruit, strength and velvety texture

Complexity, good potential and great charm
