Sazerac Rye 100 Proof is a straight rye whiskey with no age statement, produced by the Sazerac Company and distilled at Buffalo Trace Distillery in Kentucky. It is bottled at 100 proof, 50% ABV, in a 1 litre bottle, and comes from a low-rye mash bill.
The nose has clove, sweet vanilla, anise and pepper, with citrus peel and baking spice. On the palate, rye pepper leads, alongside candied orange, caramel, vanilla and subtle apricot. The finish is warming and spicy, with lingering rye spice, pepper and a hint of oak.
