Sazerac 18 Year Old Rye Whiskey 2021 is a Kentucky straight rye from Buffalo Trace Distillery, released in 2021 as part of the Buffalo Trace Antique Collection. It is bottled at 45% ABV.
The whisky was barrelled in spring 2003 and aged for 18 years in number 4 charred new American oak, in Warehouses K and P. Around 69% of each barrel was lost to evaporation over that time. It is chill filtered, and the mash bill is rye, corn and malted barley.
Distillery notes describe bright apples and herbs, with anise and maple syrup on the palate, and a finish of cocoa, coffee and dates.
