Sazerac 18 Year Old is a Kentucky straight rye whiskey, distilled and aged at Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort. This 2025 release belongs to the Buffalo Trace Antique Collection and spent 18 years and 5 months in new charred oak before being bottled at 45% ABV.
The name comes from the Sazerac House in New Orleans, birthplace of the Sazerac cocktail.
In the distillery's tasting notes, the nose has bright rye spice, seasoned oak and a subtle herbal lift. The palate balances spice and oak with woody richness and supple leather, and the finish lingers with rye spice, warm leather, caraway seed and oak.
