Sazerac Rye 100 Proof is a straight rye whiskey bottled at 50% ABV in a 1 litre bottle. It carries the name of New Orleans, the city associated with the Sazerac cocktail.
The palate shows clove, warm spices and a light sweetness of candied fruit, with citrus zest and black pepper. The rye grain gives an earthy, peppery depth, and the finish is long.
It is used in classic cocktails such as the Sazerac and the Manhattan, and can also be taken neat or over ice.
