Sazerac Rye 18 Year Old is a Kentucky straight rye whiskey bottled at 45% ABV. This is the 2025 release, part of the Buffalo Trace Antique Collection and made at the Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky.
It has spent a full 18 years maturing, and is described as balancing sweet, spicy and herbal character.
The nose brings oak, clove, nutmeg, vanilla, dried fruit and mint. The palate has rich rye spice, caramel, dark cherry, toasted oak and leather. The finish is long, warm and balanced, with hints of pepper, eucalyptus and dark chocolate.
