Sazerac Rye 18 Years Old is an American rye whiskey from the 2010 release, aged for eighteen years. The Sazerac name goes back to the 1800s and the Sazerac Coffee House on Royal Street in New Orleans, at a time when saloons posing as coffee houses lined the city's streets. Patrons there were served toddies of rye whiskey and Peychaud's Bitters, a drink that became known as the Sazerac and is described as America's first branded cocktail.
