This is a six-year-old Kentucky rye whiskey from Sazerac, bottled at 45% in a 70cl bottle.
It takes its name from a New Orleans coffee house associated with the Sazerac Cocktail. The cocktail was first made with Cognac and bitters, and later switched to Kentucky rye when Cognac was in short supply.
The nose is smooth and rounded, with vanilla, soft spices, caramel and soft fruits. A rich spice opens the palate and builds, balanced by creamy caramel, honey and vanilla.
