Sazerac Rye Full Proof is a straight rye whiskey made at Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky. It is bottled at 62.5% ABV and non-chill filtered, in a 750ml bottle.
It is made with the Sazerac cocktail in mind, and can also be taken neat or with a drop of water.
The nose brings rye spice, lemon peel, clove and oak. On the palate are caramel, dark pepper and dried herbs, with a warm, mouth-coating texture. The finish is lingering, with spice, citrus oils, anise and mint.
