Glansa is a single malt from Scapa, on Orkney, in a 70cl bottle with a box. The name comes from Old Norse and means stormy skies, a nod to the contrast between the calm Orkney landscape and the rough seas around it.
It is distilled in an old wash still and rested in casks that once held Bourbon.
The nose offers vanilla and yellow fruit, then lemon peel and a light touch of smoke. The body is medium and the palate coats the mouth, following the aromas of the nose.
