Scapegrace Vanguard is a New Zealand single malt bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It comes from the Scapegrace distillery in the south of the country, on the 45th parallel, and is matured in virgin French oak casks. The distillery works with local barley from South Canterbury and glacial water from the Southern Alps. The whisky is not chill-filtered and has no added colouring. Vanguard is the somewhat sweeter style, marked by poached pears, vanilla custard, and biscuits made with oats and desiccated coconut.
