Scarabus Sherry Cask Edition is an Islay single malt from Hunter Laing, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It has been refined in first-fill sherry casks, a share of them oloroso.
The sherry brings a chocolate sweetness and a fruity finish that sit alongside the peat smoke Islay is known for.
The nose is intense, with Islay smoke, dark berries and a salty sea breeze. The palate is full and warming, with old leather, rich chocolate and a touch of fruit. The finish is long and elegant, with dried fruits, spices and smoke.
