This is a single cask Linkwood, 15 years old, selected for the Scotch Drinkers Only range. It was matured in a refill ex-bourbon barrel and bottled at its natural cask strength of 53.1% ABV in a 70cl bottle, giving an outturn of 248 bottles. It is natural colour and non-chill filtered.
The refill barrel brings minimal cask influence, leaving Linkwood's delicate fruit, floral character and creamy malt at the front.
The nose is ripe pear, green apple, white peach, wildflower honey and fresh-cut grass. The palate is silky, with orchard fruit, vanilla custard, buttery shortbread and toasted almonds. The finish is long and softly warming, with sweet malt, vanilla and citrus peel.
