This is a single cask Linkwood from Speyside, aged 15 years in a refill ex-bourbon barrel and bottled at 53.6% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It was selected and bottled for the Private Cask Selection of Scotch Drinkers Only, and 248 bottles were filled.
Because the barrel had been used before, the cask influence stays restrained and lets orchard fruit, floral character and creamy malt lead. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
The nose offers ripe pear, green apple, white peach, wildflower honey and vanilla cream. The palate is silky orchard fruit, vanilla custard and buttery shortbread, and the finish is long and softly warming with sweet malt and citrus peel.
