Seagram's 7 Crown is a blended American whiskey in a 1 litre bottle, bottled at 40% ABV. The blend is made up of 25% straight whiskey and 75% neutral grain spirit.
The whiskey components are aged for a minimum of four years in new and used charred white oak barrels. Blenders test batches from their maturing stocks as they near the target age, adjusting the mix until it matches the established flavour of the blend.
Tasting notes mention caramel, brown sugar and a little citrus on the nose, a gently sweet palate with cherry and a touch of rye spice, and a moderate finish of vanilla and black pepper.
