Secret Islay 17 Year Old 2008/2026 #11898 - Duncan Taylor (70cl, 54.6%)

This is a 17 year old single malt from an Islay distillery that is not named, distilled in 2008 and bottled in 2026 by Duncan Taylor. It comes from single cask 11898, which gave 333 bottles at a cask strength of 54.6%. It is bottled without added colouring or chill-filtration, and has an amber colour. Caramel and toffee on the nose sit with malt, dark dried fruit and a fine touch of citrus. The palate is full, with strong Islay smoke, dark chocolate and spicy oak. The finish is long, with a subtle note of aniseed.
