Seelbach's Private Reserve 10 Year Old Batch 1 is a Kentucky straight bourbon aged 10 years and 1 month, bottled at a cask strength of 65.7% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It is the first batch of the series, with 960 bottles released. The mash bill is high in rye, at 75% corn, 15% rye and 10% malted barley. It was bottled in Jacksonville, Florida, uncut and unfiltered, with no special finish. Tasting notes describe a nose of toffee, orange marmalade and strawberry jam. The palate offers brown sugar, spent coffee beans and cocktail cherries, balanced by white pepper and oak spice. The finish is long, with dried fruit and caramel.
