This is a Cava Brut Rosé from Segura Viudas in Penedès, made mostly from Trepat, a rare grape that originally comes from the Conca de Barberà area.
Trepat is thought to cover little more than 1,000 hectares in all, and Segura Viudas has been a pioneer in rescuing the variety. The wine is bottled at 12% in a 75cl bottle.
It shows an attractive colour and finesse, with intense fruit and a fine mousse.
Tasting Notes
