Sella & Mosca Cannonau di Sardegna DOC Medeus

A red wine from Sella & Mosca, made exclusively from Cannonau, an indigenous Sardinian grape. The grapes are hand-harvested at optimal ripeness. It is deep ruby red with garnet shades that intensify with age. The nose is rich with ripe plum and cherry, plus spicy and balsamic notes from wood ageing. On the palate it is solid and well balanced, with soft but present tannins integrated with acidity, and a persistent, pleasantly aromatic finish with sweet spice and a light trace of vanilla. It pairs with Sardinian and Mediterranean dishes, roast pork, Sardinian pecorino, aged cheeses and grilled red meat.
