Sensei is a Japanese blend of malt and grain whiskies from Yamanashi Prefecture, in the foothills of Mt. Fuji. It is bottled at 40% in a 75cl bottle.
The blend is made with pure Japanese spring water and aged in Mizunara, Japanese oak. That oak gives it its character, with sandalwood and coconut notes running through it.
It is usually described as soft, with a malt and grain core and the Mizunara influence at the front: sandalwood, coconut and gentle spice over a light, sweet grain base.
