Sforzato di Valtellina DOCG 5 Stelle Sfursat - Nino Negri (1.5L)

A red wine from Valtellina made from Nebbiolo, locally called Chiavennasca, by Nino Negri, in a 1500 ml bottle. It is made using the traditional Sfursat method, with dried grapes, and from a rigorous selection of grapes from favourably exposed vineyards. Ageing in French oak barriques adds complexity and elegance. It is deep garnet red with orange reflections. The nose shows dried red fruit such as cherries and plums, spice, chocolate, tobacco and a light balsamic touch. On the palate it is powerful yet balanced, with silky integrated tannins, full body, fruit richness, spice and delicate acidity, ending long and persistent.
