Sforzato di Valtellina DOCG Sfursat Carlo Negri is a red wine from Nino Negri, made from Nebbiolo, locally known as Chiavennasca. The grapes are dried before vinification, giving concentration and complexity.
It shows an intense garnet red colour, tending towards orange with age. The nose is rich, with dried fruit, prunes, cherries in spirit and spicy notes. On the palate it is powerful yet harmonious, with present but well-integrated tannins and balanced acidity, leading to a long, persistent finish.
