A Sforzato di Valtellina DOCG red wine from Nino Negri. It has a deep ruby colour with garnet reflections. The nose shows ripe red fruit, plum and dried cherry, with discreet sweet spice and cocoa notes. The palate is full and enveloping, with fresh acidity and savouriness keeping it lively; the tannins are present but well smoothed, and there is a subtle earthy note. It suits braised meats, game stews, aged cheeses and dark chocolate.
