Hillside Select is Shafer Vineyards' Cabernet Sauvignon from the Stags Leap District, here in its 2021 vintage, in a 75cl bottle.
The wine combines dark fruit with red plum, wet stone, lavender and black tea. Its ripe tannins are well integrated and give depth, precision and a serious structure.
The nose offers blackberry, cedar, blackcurrant and just-picked cherry, with floral and leather tones. The finish is long.
