Shenk's Homestead 2025 Release is a Kentucky sour mash whiskey in a 750ml bottle. It honours John Shenk, who founded a distillery in 1753 that went on to become known as Michter's in the twentieth century.
It is made in Kentucky by the sour mash process, in which a portion of the previously distilled mash, known as setback, is added to the next batch.
