Shibui Grain Select Japanese Whisky (75cl, 43%)

Shibui Grain Select is a Japanese blended grain whisky in a 75cl bottle at 43% ABV. It combines a Scottish Lowland single grain whisky with a Japanese distillate, both made from 100% wheat, and was blended and bottled in Niigata, Japan. It matured across three cask types: ex-bourbon, Oloroso sherry and mizunara oak. It is non-chill filtered and of natural colour. Tasting notes mention baked lemon, aniseed, roasted spice and sandalwood on the nose. The palate is light and floral, with lemon, lychee, mandarin and dried apricot, and the finish is citrus and ground ginger.
