Shinobu Blended Whisky Mizunara Oak is a Japanese blended whisky with no age statement, made from whiskies chosen from different distilleries. The blend is 50% malt and 50% grain.
The whiskies are first held in ex-sherry and ex-bourbon casks, then finished in Japanese Mizunara oak in Japan.
The nose offers softly roasted nuts, jellied pear and honeysuckle. Black pepper and clove arrive early on the palate, followed by ripe citrus fruit and baked apples, and the finish is long and smooth.
