Shinobu – Blended (70cl)

Shinobu Blended is a Japanese blended whisky from the Shinobu distillery in Niigata prefecture. The name means 'tolerance' in Japanese. Whiskies matured in old sherry and bourbon casks are brought together and rested in a Japanese Mizunara oak cask to make the final blend. The nose offers gently toasted nuts, pear and honeysuckle. On the palate black pepper and clove come first, followed by ripe citrus and baked apple, leading to a long, soft finish.
