Shinsei is a Japanese blended whisky in a 70cl bottle. The name means sky blue in Japanese. It is made in Yamanashi prefecture, at the foot of Mount Fuji, and is built on the art of blending. The nose has light woody and smoky hints alongside pear, quince, citrus, pineapple and cherry. The palate has a rich texture, with sweet shortbread and liquorice and a touch of spice. The finish is very soft, with notes of incense.
