Shortcross Distiller's Duo 5 Year Old Malt & Pot Still Whiskey (70cl, 46%)

This is an Irish blended whiskey from the Rademon Estate Distillery, combining a five-year-old single malt with a single pot still whiskey. It is bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The whiskey was matured in ex-bourbon barrels and virgin American oak casks. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring. The nose offers caramelised apple, fruit, honey and delicate floral notes. On the palate come milk chocolate, green apple and sweet grain, with malt and pot still spice working together. The finish is long, with spicy and fruity touches.
