Shortcross Rye & Malt is an Irish whiskey made from Irish rye and malted barley. It is distilled twice in copper stills, one of which is among the smallest in Ireland.
The spirit is aged for three years and one day in a combination of virgin Chinkapin oak and ex-bourbon casks.
The nose has soft spice, orange peel and creamy caramel. The palate is soft, with ginger, fresh apricot and green apple. The finish is rich and lightly spicy, with dark chocolate and marmalade.
