Shunka Shuto Autumn is a Japanese blended whisky bottled at 40% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It is the autumn expression of the Shunka Shuto Four Seasons series, whose name reads spring, summer, autumn, winter in Japanese. The blend has a high malt ratio and is aged in used bourbon and white oak barrels.
Lemon and apple on the nose sit over light malt. The palate is bright and light, with pear, juicy orchard fruit, light honey and shortbread, and the finish is softly sweet and mellow, with vanilla from the used bourbon barrels.
