A 12 year old single malt from Strathmill in Speyside, distilled in 2012 and bottled in 2024 by Signatory Vintage. It is edition #36 of the 100 Proof Collection, named for its bottling at 100 British Proof, which is 57.1% ABV.
The whisky matured in first-fill Oloroso sherry butts. It is non-chill filtered and of natural colour.
On the nose there are raisins, candied orange peel and roasted almonds, with cinnamon and clove. The palate has a rich texture, with dark chocolate, plums and caramel toffee. The finish is long and warming, drying with sherry oak and a touch of nutmeg.
