The second Signature Blend from The Last Drop, created by master blender Drew Mayville. It is a blend of bourbons and straight ryes taken from the Buffalo Trace Distillery archives, in a 75cl bottle at 60.7% ABV.
Mayville tasted more than 40 vintage bourbons and ryes and tried numerous combinations before settling on the final blend. The colour is a rich golden amber.
The nose is dark fruit, figs, dates and raisins, with aromatic spice and citrus zest, plus rye spiciness and creamy vanilla from the bourbons. On the palate, dark fruit, candy and orange peel come first, followed by layers of spice, worn leather and wax.
