Silvio Carta Amaro Bomba Carta (70cl)

Amaro Bomba Carta is an Italian amaro from Silvio Carta, built on a selection of aromatic Sardinian herbs and other botanicals. It is a deep amber colour with golden glints and a dense, viscous look in the glass. The nose is herbal and fresh, with mint, basil, orange and grapefruit, and with air it opens to juniper, black pepper and a soft hint of caramel. On the palate the freshness of the herbs meets the bitterness expected of an amaro, with growing citrus, a light spiciness and a liquorice aftertaste. The finish is long, bitter with sweet, aromatic edges, and leaves the mouth clean. It suits drinking neat, over ice or in cocktails.
