Grifu is a London dry gin from Silvio Carta, part of the Pilloni line. It is made only with wild plants of the territory, with Mediterranean juniper (Juniperus oxycedrus) as the main botanical, and a long distillation. Sage and mastic are the other botanicals named. It is 43% in a 70cl bottle.
The nose is led by a delicate mix of mastic and sage. The palate is velvety and the close fairly savoury, leaving a soft, gentle juniper aftertaste. It can be drunk neat or over ice.
