Silvio Carta Mirto Pilloni (70cl)

Mirto Pilloni is a red myrtle liqueur from Silvio Carta, a Sardinian producer that began with Vernaccia wine and moved on to spirits and liqueurs, with myrtle at the centre of its work. The berries used come from certified organic cultivation. It can be sipped neat or over ice, and is also used in cooking roasts and game. The nose brings Mediterranean scrub, aromatic herbs, bay, sage and plum jam. On the palate there are vegetal notes and a refined push and pull between sweet and bitter. It closes properly dry, with lingering Mediterranean character.
