Sin Gusano Arroqueño y Tobalá is a mezcal that blends Arroqueño and Tobalá agaves, distilled in Santa Catarina Minas in Oaxaca. The village is known for its clay-pot stills, which lend the spirit a distinctive mineral character. It is a small, single-batch release.
The nose brings wet potter's clay and a strong sense of sea air. The palate is dry, chalky and slate-like before softening into ripe banana. The finish is maritime and gently smoky, with hints of clay.
