This is a 16 year old single malt from Glentauchers, bottled by Single Cask Nation in a 70cl bottle.
The nose is led by fruit and cereal: poached pears, baked apples and oatmeal, with cinnamon, ground ginger and gentle oak spice behind. The palate has a mouth-coating texture, with oak spice at the front and warm cinnamon through the middle, turning buttery and nutty with time, much like almond croissants.
The finish is long, with lingering cinnamon and oak spice, while dark chocolate and café au lait notes keep it mellow.
