This is a 10 year old Inchgower, a Speyside single malt bottled by the independent bottler Single Cask Nation at a cask strength of 54.5% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It is non-chill filtered.
The whisky was distilled in late 2011 and bottled in October 2022. It marries two casks, a refill bourbon barrel and a first-fill Oloroso hogshead, and the outturn was 430 bottles.
The nose is barley sugar, dried apricot, golden raisins, orange blossom honey and dried tobacco leaf. The palate is oily and full, with liquorice and fondant sweetness opening into cigar box and ground ginger. The finish is drying oak and earthiness with lingering spice.
