This is a 10 year old single malt Scotch whisky from the Knockdhu distillery, bottled by Single Cask Nation in a 70cl bottle and labelled 2014.
The nose is rich and sweet, with chocolate-covered toffee bars, toasted hazelnuts and oats, coffee beans and gingerbread. On the palate it is warming, with ginger cookies, molasses, dark chocolate, espresso and oak spice.
The finish is long, with lingering spice, cinnamon, dark chocolate and fresh walnuts, turning fudgy in time.
