The nose opens with dried figs and apricots, or crystallised angelica and orange peel, over a light fruitcake iced with vanilla-scented marzipan. The texture is soft and mouth-filling, oaky-dry at first, then ripe green apple with hints of grape spirit and sweet coconut.
A little water brings out more buttery notes and some spice.
