Singleton of Dufftown 17 Year Old Special Release 2020 is a Scottish single malt bottled at 55.1% in a 70cl bottle. It was matured for 17 years solely in refill American oak hogsheads.
It has a fresh, spring-like character, reminiscent of cut grass, flowers in bloom and warm air. Water softens the nose and brings out a light, sweet-shop sweetness.
The nose is creamy and complex, fruity with a mineral edge. The palate is soft, creamy and sweet, both dry and oily, with a hint of beeswax. The finish is long, dry and lightly spicy.
