An American whisky from SirDavis, bottled at 44% in a 75cl bottle. It is made from a corn-free mashbill of 51% rye and 49% malted barley, distilled in Indiana and aged first in American oak barrels.
It then spends a finishing period in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks before final blending and bottling in Texas. SirDavis is the first spirits brand developed entirely in-house by Moët Hennessy in the United States.
The nose brings Seville orange, raisins, clove, cinnamon and ginger over Demerara sugar and toffee. The palate is rich and buttery, with toffee and rye spice, then malty, biscuity notes and bright citrus. The finish is soft and lingering, with honey, sultanas and ripe cherries.
