Slane Irish Whiskey (75cl, 40%)

Slane Irish Whiskey is a blended Irish whiskey from the Slane Castle estate in the Boyne Valley, created by the Conyngham family together with Brown-Forman. It is bottled at 40% in a 75cl bottle and carries no age statement. It is triple-distilled from Irish barley, much of it grown on the estate, and made with water from the River Boyne. The blend is triple-casked, drawing on virgin oak, seasoned casks that previously held Tennessee whiskey or bourbon, and Oloroso sherry casks. The nose is complex and fruity, with caramel, butterscotch, vanilla, brown spice and toasted oak. The palate opens spicy before turning rich over dried fruit, and the finish lingers with dried fruit and caramelised wood sugar.
