Smoke Wagon Blender's Select Rye (75cl, 58.9%)

Smoke Wagon Blender's Select Rye is a cask-strength American rye whiskey bottled at 58.9% in a 750ml bottle, without chill filtration. It blends two rye mashbills distilled at MGP in Lawrenceburg, Indiana: one of 51% rye, 45% corn and 4% malted barley, the other of 51% rye and 49% malted barley. The blending is done by Nevada H&C Distilling Company in Las Vegas. The nose begins with caramelised sugar and warm oak, then clove, allspice and vanilla. The palate is sweet and rich with brown sugar and toasted oak, before peppery rye takes hold. The finish is long, with building cinnamon and rye spice, toasted grain and dry oak.
