Smoke Wagon Malted Straight Rye is a rye whiskey from Nevada, bottled at cask strength in a 750ml bottle.
The mash bill is 51% rye and 49% malted barley, so the malt plays a large part in its character.
It opens sweet and creamy, with caramel, cereal and plain malt flavours. The finish brings cinnamon, black pepper and some smoky notes from the malted barley.
